Úlfljótsvatnskirkja church Úlfljótsvatn Scout Center is the national Scout center of Bandalag íslenskra skáta, the Icelandic Scout and Guides Association. It is situated by Lake Úlfljótsvatn, which lies just south of Lake Þingvallavatn. It is located approximately 70 km east of Reykjavík Various events take place there, such as Scout camps, Jamborees, courses and summer camps. It has a couple of buildings, including KSÚ, DSÚ, the JB-building, the Green Revolution and a 10 meter high tower for climbing and abseiling. It also has a big camping place which can host up to 5000 people.

Þingvallakirkja Þingvallavatn is a lake in south-western Iceland. With a surface of 84 km² it is the largest natural lake in Iceland. Its greatest depth is at 114 m. At the northern shore of the lake, at Þingvellir (after which the lake is named), the Alþingi, the national parliament, was founded in the year 930. The lake is part of the Þingvellir National Park. The volcanic origin of the islands in the lake is clearly visible. The cracks and faults around it, of which the famous Almannagjá canyon is the largest, is where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet

The name "Thórsmörk" properly refers only to the mountain ridge between the rivers Krossá, Þröngá and Markarfljót, but is sometimes used informally to describe a wider area that includes the region between Thórsmörk and Eyjafjallajökull.

Öxarárfoss waterfall in early spring Öxarárfoss is a waterfall in Þingvellir National Park, Iceland. It flows from the river Öxará over the Almannagjá. The pool at the base of the waterfall is filled with rocks and is often very icy in winter. The waterfall is one of the main attractions of Þingvellir National Park and there is a path from the nearby car park leading up to it.
