Krossneslaug – Geothermal pool in the beach Krossnes by Strandir in the West Fjords peninsula is one of the most interesting pool in Iceland . It is located in a remote place; the surrounding area is stunning with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other side. The geothermal pool at Krossnes on Strandir is located a bit north of the fjord Norðurfjörður on the east side of West Fjords near the Arctic Circle. The pool is one of Iceland's most interesting and unique destinations. It is a very peaceful and relaxing area with beautiful landscape.

Laugafell geothermal oases hot pool The Laugafell geothermal pool is located on the northwestern slopes of Laugafell Mountain. The area is an oasis in the barren land between Hofsjökull Glacier and Vatnajökull Glacier. The Laugafell pool is rather large and measures around 17×7 meters in diameter and from 0.5-1.5 meters in depth. The temperature in the pool is pretty consistent at around 36 °C and 50-70 people can bathe in the pool simultaneously. Just above the main pool you will find a very small pool that can only fit one person at a time. The small pool is called Þórunnarlaug, or Thorunn’s pool.

Kerlingarfjöll, Geothermal area in the highlands Kerlingarfjöll (1,477 m (4,846 ft)) is a mountain range in Iceland situated in the Highlands of Iceland near the Kjölur highland road. The volcanic origin of these mountains is evidenced by the numerous hot springs and rivulets in the area. And indeed, they are part of a large volcano system of 100km² (38.6 square mile). The volcanoes of the range are tuyas. The earth is shimmering red in this area because of the volcanic rhyolite stone the mountains are composed of. Minerals that have emerged from the hot springs also color the ground yellow, red and green.
