Brimketill is a small pool naturally carved into the rocks on Iceland’s South Coast thanks to marine erosion. Lying on a lava shore west of the town of Grindavík, it is not geothermally heated. It is said that the pool was owned by a giantess, who used it to wash her clothes and bathe. This is why it is called “Pool of Oddný”, or Oddnýjarlaug, after this character.
